Linux users usually write their own SEO tools :) However, as stated above, run Windows in VirtualBox if you really need to.

    Code:
    http://www.virtualbox.org/

install windows if you want premade tools, no one sells that sort of stuff for linux - no audience and the developers would have to learn something besides VB ;)

Exactly and the programming language is almost exactly the same as java.
Or any other class orientated language for that matter.

By the way, I use Kubuntu most of the time and Ubuntu occasionally. The SEO tools in Linux that I am aware of are usually add-on's to the Firefox browser.

As of now, I haven't started looking at desktop tools for SEO, but I'm particularly impressed with the Kopete messenger application which handles all web messenger services. Since YM was designed to run in IE, this is a very big help for a Linux user.

It won't help you, but me also I did not find so many linux-basing tools. Really a little hard to understand, as most (sorry, many) of professional internet business runs on linux. Maybe most of those win tools are far less professional than they claim to be :p

There are only some more or less crappy apache/php basing things like LFE (link farm evolution) or so. And certainly I also have a virtualization running (kvm) on my linux box. Like sb else mentioned above: linux guys write their tools themselves.

Yeah, Virtualbox is the way to go, especially if you're installing some dodgey downloads. :) Just save a snapshot, install the app, and if it screws something up, restore a snapshot.

Virtualbox is free. You can just download and install it.
