linkwheel question

I started reading about linkwheels and i want to try it out myself however i have a few questions before i begin ...

1. When creating the 2.0 site am i supposed to make only 1 post? or does it need to be a fully fleged site with content to be taken into consideration?

I realized that if you create content with no links at all, the properties will not get flagged. Then you wait a week or so, go back there and put 2 or 3 links, no more than that.
Because too many people is creating linkwheels it's becoming obvious to the services that they are being spammed, so if you wait a week to put the link it will help you.

Your Web 2.0 linkwheel can be based on blogs or single page websites like squidoo or multiple page websites like weebly. The choice is yours.

Many of these properties have a feauture where other people can rank your content or flag it. So it is better to have useful content written for people.

Don't throw too many links, but make sure you bookmark these pages to hundereds of bookmarking sites so that their page rank goes up so that you'd get strong backlinks from these pages.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that you HAVE to ping and bookmark all the properties in order to get the best out of it.

pingomatic and pingler are great tools for pinging.
socialmarker.com is a good website to bookmark your properties.

Off course if you have a budget you should get automated tools or outsource the work to scale and get more stuff done in a shorter period of time.

After 3 months of linkwheeling, I now have over 350 properties in 40+ linkwheels. To date I have lost around 10 of them. It's not that much of an issue.

Some properties are more likely to remove you for spam. These are hubpages, wordpress.com and squidoo. For these, I use a small decoy post to throw them off the scent. I also include a picture of some trustworthy looking old guy who just wants to blog his thoughts...It takes about 2 minutes to do and it's worth it if you're going to spend time promoting a property.

I used to wait, then go back in and add links but it is very time consuming to do. Now, I only touch each property once. It has not presented problems, either from the web 2.0 services, or Google.
