They tweeted about an optional "ad-step" linkvertise gives. The download is ad step is totally optional & it is not malware. They only told their users to disable the ad-step, nothing about not using linkvertise and they have a partnership. The download steps just asks the user if they want to download some of LinkVertise's partners programs, the user can skip all of the affiliate downloads to get the download to what ever they are trying to download originally. I know its scummy since most people just click the continue button on setup exe's hence why I don't use that ad-option but like I said, its completely optional.

Linkvertise can be a decent way to monetize links, but it can also be frustrating for users due to its lengthy redirects definitely a mixed bag
