Not sure if this is classified as whitehat but could someone teach me how to put a link within a username when I'm signing up to forums?

you go to forum, become a member and put the username as anchor text/keyword. It means that you insert your link to username instead of keyword.

I didn't know that you could do that. I always thought you could in your homepage url but never into the username itself.

Doesn't appear to work due to forums putting limitations on the number of characters you can have in your name
