Hello, Since I know that links are very very important to rankings I wanted to ask this question as simple as possible.

Howmany links would be too much in a short time (2 days) to a:

NEW website (2-3 days old domain)

AVERAGE website (1-3 years old)

BIG websites (7-15 years old) (Big boys like CNN.com BBC.com Etc...)

I know that Google has to find the links first and it depends on howfast it finds it. But is there any way we can control it a little bit more.

Luca

there are alot of different theories out there depending on who you ask, but my personal opinion is theres no such thing as too many backlinks.. and as far as how many for new domains, etc... as soon as i get my website indexed i begin blasting backlinks, i start with about 500 a day for a week then after that i will progress to 1000 a day, etc, until i have what i need.... in the past i have given a freshly indexed domain a 5k backlink blast and i've never seen the "sandbox".. but if you do large blasts of backlinks to your site i would let them be indexed naturally, theres no rush :P

Dubbletoke you maniac :D
I've blasted my 2 weeks old site with hundreds of backlinks and got sandboxed, but i keep adding backlinks and hope to get out...

better don't blast your money site with spam link.
just create any web2.0 properties or create a page on squidoo/hubpages, then blast it with hundreds or thousands of backlinks. next, provide a link from those web2.0 properties or hubpages/squidoo pages that leads to your money site.

Hmm... just remember do not spam your money site. :)

I spam one of my money sites with hundreds of successful links a day. Works a treat :) Also spam a few 301 redirect sites with a couple of hundred every other day.

The method that cassava said seems the best in my opinion. Get links out, get the links indexed! or just spray them out and wait for Google to naturally index them (depending on your strategy)

Don't risk getting your money site getting either Sandboxed, or removed. I would still keep on adding links to the money site, but PR 1-4 sites, sometimes PR 0, spray links out sometimes. But mostly through my web 2.0 sites.
