Is it good to get links from posts that are already indexed?

My main concern is that google won't crawl that post anymore and the backlink won't count?

It will be considered, many of my clients give link to a existing or old post on my site.

So in my opinion it will be considered

Anybody else please with a better answer

Those actually get indexed significantly faster than normal links. Blog comments for example get indexed within a few hours.

If he's talking about slipping links into articles that have long been indexed just be careful, don't go nuts with too many of those. And make SURE if you do that you add an "update" in the article and update the date as well. Regardless editing a ton of old posts to add your link will garner a lot of attention of you do it in bulk or fast.
