I keep seeing people posting about their link pushing successes. I know a lot of people are skeptical when they read such things so im going to do a real time study. I have just registered the following domain name

http://bit.ly/iSkTQs - it has about 1k exact searches per month

It has 8950 results when searched for the key word in brackets.

From what im reading, a few good articles and a few link pushes should get this to the first page or two in google for the main keyword.

Im going to add some articles tomorrow, then start the link pushes at the start of the week.

The journey begins....

Good luck mate, there is some competition, .org registered 31-Mar-2011

why target such low keyword. Why not making a weight loss blog -> get a category for your first targeted keyword. Rank it to #1. Then make a second category for a second keyword etc...
Just a waste of domain names to be honest

I don't plan on making any large amounts of money with this. I want to see if this link pushing is capable of ranking a relatively low competition domain.

Im seeing so many posts with the theme... Just registered a domain... did some link pushes... im now ranked number 3 on google... etc

I want to test this. Im not going to go for a competitive niche for a new domain but if i can rank this one i will have some faith in the service.

And to go on record, i am neither a fan or a detractor of the service at the minute. In a months time, my opinion may well change either way.

cont... the reason for this isn't to make me money. Im subscribed to the linkpushing service and if im going to stay a long term customer i want to know if it actually has long term benefits. Ive used it on some old domains that are already making me money and its hard to tell if its doing anything due to the fact that they are already ranked well. Im posting this here to hopefully help everyone make their mind up as to whether it works and to help people out.

If I wanted to make the domain a long term business, I wouldn't be posting it here. At the end of the day, it cost me 10 dollars plus about $100 for the link pushes. If i can decide now if the linkpushing works or not, it will benefit me greatly in the long term...and hopefully help everyone else

So if you want to come along for the ride, you're more than welcome...

My prediction.. You will rank well, You will become a fan, You will rant about the service when harder keywords need more work.

good luck to you any ways!

good going m8.. would be interested to know the results.

*UPDATE*

So I have now got 5 articles up and put up a nice header. I will now install some seo plugins.

I have noticed that Google has indexed my domain already and its sitting around page 7 for the main search term.

More to follow...;)

Why are you not using excerpts insted of posting full articles on the front page? Also, are you going to linkpush to certain articles or to the home url?

Good luck :)

I'm also curious about the whole link pushing idea. The only thing is that with your keyword, the competition isn't very strong so the link push on such a low competitive term might give your murky results of the service as a whole.

I could probably rank that keyword in a very short time just using low key methods like a few articles, blog blast, etc.

I would say to try out link pushing on a higher competitive term to see if you can make a dent in the rankings.

Either way I think the data will be great to dig through to see what becomes of it.

I have been tinkering with the idea of creating my own person type link pushing methods but I haven't quite gotten up to par on my coding skills just yet.

But I've subscribed to your thread and look forward to the results.

I just tried make a MNS, I bought 1 keyword with 3million results. But seller told me that keyword is easy to rank.
I have a plan to try Linkpush, since I hear a lot positive feedback about that.
So, thread subscribed. Waiting for update :)

On a new domain name, even an "easy" keyword can be hard to rank in the first few weeks, so i think that this is a good test.

As someone else mentioned, the .org was registered a couple of months ago so it will be interesting to see how soon, or if i can beat that.

Anyway, im pretty much ready to go SEO wise. Im going to see if i can get the link pushes started tonight.

On a side note, does anyone know any networks offering weight loss offers for the uk and the us? Ive checked copeac and neverblue and cant get any.

use offervault to find a network with what you want

i have had some good past experiences with LinkPush :)
so goodluck to you buddy! let us know how it goes ;)

OK...its been about 2 weeks i guess since I did 3 link pushes. 2 weeks ago when my site was indexed it was on page 8 . It slowly saw it creep to page 6 , 5 then eventually to the bottom of page one.

As it stands now it has overtaken the .org domain and is sitting at 7th or 8th for the phrase "how to lose a stone in a week"

Anyone's views / comments are welcome

Im going to watch this thread closely now on.

But I may be a newbie, But I dont get what you mean by link pushing. What type of linkpushing do you use?

Can you maybe tell us the service, an image?

Thank you!

LinkPushing is a service thats offered on this forum.

scrapebox was not used, just 3 link pushes

Just three days after your post, I checked your keyword phrase. You're at #2. CORRECTION: you're still at #7. I mistakenly did the search with quotation marks around the term. Duh!

Still, it's an impressive move in 15 days (now 18 and counting) for a brand new site and domain, even if the keyword is relatively low competition.

This is very interesting stuff.
