That was something that we did when we first offered the service but it was discontinued in November of last year.... sorry for the confusion.

Yea, I have the email authentication and the captcha on. Just don't know about the filters yet, still reading and learning.

5 more spammers GONE! they can give up now because I turned off the BB code in the signature and the posts.... That'll teach them.
 
Well one week and 1 hour since I started the SeScout service, I told you the flood gates were leaking..

22 words in the top 1k with the lowest at 48 and the highest at 374 with no sand to play in.

Assuming you're using vBulletin, there are promotion rules you can set up. Like when they first register they get assigned to a specific usergroup that has no rights to signatures or post URLs, then they can automatically get promoted to full-fledged member (another usergroup) after they're members for X days and made Y posts. I use this on my forum and the number of spammers is quite low, despite it being on the xRumer list for several years.

It is actually a phpBB forum. That was just the quickest way to shut it down for now until I have time to go through the permissions for the groups. Thanks for the tips, this is my first forum. I also noticed that they were all for the most part, ending up in a forum titled "Off Topic". So I changed the name of that forum, seems to be a key target.
 
Well I just had someone try to post 20+ threads about online pharmacies..... HA HA HA no live links and the profiles are private so that does not help either. Just deleted 6 more blaskhaters... they will get the message soon when the links do not go live.

Well at least we know that I can not type.... LOL

Once all the people using Xrummer realize that the links never go live they will remove me from the list.

Wasn't sure what LP was until I checked out their site again and realized I'd put it on my outsourcing back burner a while back (favorites ;) )

I just found that the most spam has been forextradingsystemsreview

So I just banned that entire email list. It has also mostly been from Russia and S Africa ip addresses also..... That's next. I know they can use proxies but it gets harder and harder for them.

You can't really ban gmail or hotmail etc because you eliminate too many people. I have soem other things that I have been reading about like setting delays etc. If they are going to spam, they will have to work for it.
 
I have downlaoded an pdf file named: LinkPushVol2 and i have read it and it seems very good ..is this the sytem you are using? people seem to be having succes with it.

I have not read that yet but with this study, we are throwing 200 pushes at the home page per month. With 100 keywords and 200 pushes this means that each keyword will be included in 6 pushes throughout the month.
 
Well I have seemed to have been able to stop the spam for now. Banned entire class C ip ranges from the Ukraine and Russia. No spam over night. Also set the minimum for using links to 100 and I can manually upgrade users that are real.
 
There are a lot of things that can affect that. How long has it been since the pushes completed?
