LinkPushing Case Study

I did not pick a primary keyword. Of the 100 that we did pick, they all were not ranking in the top 1k.

Yes there are improvements. There are now 4 keywords in the top 1k and today is the start of day 5 so the pushes that have completed are only like 48 hours old. 2pm Wednesday will be one week from the start of the pushing.

At this moment or overnight there are now 24 pushes completed.

No offense but you want to make a case study yet not reveal the actual keywords and domain?

How is this a case study? for all we know it could be a hundred percent marketing.

I find that approach ok for general seo tactics, but not for obviously promoting one single product.

Again, no offense, but I won't believe one word until I see it with my own eyes... and so should everyone else.

Actually I do think that linkpushing is a great service and I want to try it myself, so it's not about me thinking it does not work, but you could say anything now to promote the product no matter if its true or not...

That is certainly your right. I have no reason to lie about this as I have no monetary gain, I am not a part of the service. Yes I am a big cheer leader and I also recommend Paper-Boy for SB blasts and I have nothing to gain there either. When I find a service that works as well as this does, I become a big fan and cheerleader. If I was selling or hyping the product or service you would see an affiliate link somewhere.

The reason for not revealing the site or the keywords is that I may decide to monetize this later. I am not going to throw away a niche site just because someone will not believe me. I also have a blog in this niche that is doing very well for being newer than the forum. This blog is monetized.

So if it were you in my shoes, would you tell this forum what you were working on? Probably not.

Believe it or not, there are still some honest people in the world. Not every one is out to scam or deceive someone. You can believe or not believe but you came very close to outright calling me a liar and accusing me of being part of the system.

Did you believe that the world's #1 terrorist was dead? Why, we got no proof? Not that first day.

Bottom line is this, what is in t for all involved.

Cons --
Me - I lose the opportunity to use my site for monetary gains so it has to remain a hobby.
BTB - He loses potential customers because of what happened to this site.

Pros --
Me - I get a well ranked forum.
BTB - He has now proven without a shadow of a doubt that his service will not hurt a new or existing site.

I just spent over $300 on linkpushes for this next month. If I was in on it, there certainly would not be that much money coming out of my pocket.

Once again, believe what you want to believe, but DO NOT come in here and insinuate to people that I am dishonest and tell them that I should not be believed.

Dude, I didn't insult you. It just looks like marketing to me. I totally agree not to share a site you want to monetize later on, but I would not go on and create a thread about a case study for one specific service either without showing the actual site...

I have seen other people in other forums attempt '100% disclosure' with their case studies only to find themselves having to start over.

This is more like a science class than a marketing class. When you run a scientific experiment you set out to test one hypothesis and you need to control all the variables involved.

If TN were to publicly reveal the site that loss of control would ruin it. Someone could do a SB blast or Xrumer blast or something else to mess up the experiment. In the examples from other forums I mentioned above the person revealed the site and was attempting to increase rankings by using 300 no-follow comments, nothing else. Well, someone decided to Xrumer his page and he had to start all over again.

We are just going to have to trust TN that this is a pure test and that the results are genuine. From reading the actual sales thread you will find that the sentiment towards Greg, aka BTB, is very positive so I would assume that will not change with this case study.

In the end, even after the case study is over, you will still have to test the service on your own content in order to decide for yourself that it works or not.

JC.

p.s. In case you are curious that 300 no-follow comment case study moved a page from position 21 to position 18 after 2 weeks.

I have used LinkPushing when they just launched and results were non-existent. I pointed 20 linkpushes at the inner pages of my sites and my rankings didnt improve at all. I think their problem is duplicate content.

There have been a lot of improvements since then, even in the few months I have been using them. They just added scrapebox to the whole thing this month and are in the process of adding their own private network of 1-10 year old domains.

Well I will be running the rankings tonight to see where we stand. The domain name however is doing well. The domain name is 3 words but in not in the list of 100 words that we are pushing. When I started that 3 word phrase was hovering around 9 -12 and without even pushing that keyword, it now sits at #3. Over 2.4 million results for that phrase.

Link pushes don't just help your keywords that you are pushing.

how you going to make money if you spend like that even if you get to the top

If you had a site that the potential to make between 2k and 5k per month or more then it is a no brainer. You do this until your rankings are where you need them to be and then taper off and do a smaller amount as a maintenance.

I have seen people that have CPA offers that net them 12k for one sale. I would spend that money every month to make sure I got there and stayed there. If you only made 4 sales per year that is 36k on a 12k investment.

There is more out there than just AdSense.

Think Bigger

There is a problem with my software where it is not using the proxies correctly. I know this because when I go to my browser to search, I am having to put in the captcha. Of the ones that I was able to get, 34 was the lowest one I saw.

I think I have the problem worked out. It seems that if you have more than 25 keywords at once to check, that is where the trouble is. Will split the list and run it today.

Well this software is driving me nuts. From what I can tell, there are 5 keywords in the top 300 with 4 of them ranging from 34 to 76.

I can't be sure that the ones that are not ranking are really not there.

Off to look for another rank tracking software. It is still too early to tell on many of them since most of the pushes only finished on Monday or Tuesday. Should see more improvement next week.

I hear ya. Currently I am using MS, SerpAttacks (free) and TrafficTravis (free) and sometimes the three of them give me different results.

I sometimes use scroogle.org to check my rankings too (manual).

I really might need to re-consider paying to use SeScout.com (free trial only allows for 10 keywords) now that they seem to be back on their feet.

JC.

I just signed up for sescout I could not remember that name for the life of me today. Thanks.

I 2nd SEscout fwiw....

And just wanted to encourage you TP to keep on with your
mad scientist experiment b/c I'm enthralled and I've drawn
in a few of my non-BHWers ('normies') who're getting on
board w/ you as well.

You're a good writer/communicator too, dude. Appreciated.

I voted 5-stars up top when I saw a one (??!) going on--
there were only two votes, meaning two Grinches were
so upset that Cancelling-Christmas Season was still a good
7 months off that they had to bring their haterade over
here...

Do your thing, my man. Again, very helpful.

And you know this: kw's will/should level out as thing unfolds more.

captivated :)

Ok, this morning according to SeScout there are 4 keywords ranking in the top 1k at 41,51,63,64.

Check it again next week.

SE Scout looks pretty cool. Feedback from anyone using it?
I bough a subscription to SEMRush, it's pretty cool. I have a large content site and found some decent keywords with little competition I was ranking high for, now I can give them a push and try to get #1 for them.
However, I don't think I really need SEMRush on a montly basis. I think I"m gonna cancel and use it every few months. Though it might be a bigger pain canceling and signing up every 2-3 months.
I have a few dozen sites up, so SEScout might be a good tool to track everything.

Wow, you are getting some really good results with it.

I might give it a try again. I was thinking if I should just order a whole lot of articles and submit my own spun articles instead of using the ones that LP scrapes.

LinkPushing is definitely very cheap for what it gives you and it is hands off. I am going to look at it again. Going to read the reviews now on the other forum I go to.
