Linking to Home page vs Inner pages?

Can someone break down what the most effective ratio is? Also any other input on this subject would be appreciated.

I actually do 80%-20%.

I mostly do 70%-30% on authority sites but have done 50-50 as well, it all depends on the type of website.

Well, all depends on how well structured is your authority site. If it is well structured, the inner pages should already rank for their keywords, ATLEAST in top 100. IF not, do not even think about start backlinking.

If yes, go on, and keep drip feeding backlinks to both domain and inner pages. Usually domain should receive about x6 more backlinks. So if you send 1 backlink each 2 days to each inner page, you may want to send 3 per day to your homepage.

It depends on the pages you want to rank, you website structure.. Learn how linkjuice flow through your site and how to control it

I suppose it would depend upon your site structure and whether it is a micro niche site or an authority one.

What site are you talking about? The result would be different. It depends on what is it - ecommerce, classified, portal, blog..
