Linking Methods?!

If one were to do
No directory submissions
no article submissions
no blog commenting
no forum posting
no profile links
No ppc
No ppv

How would you go about building links? That lists means quality over quantity but where would one get the quality?

Search for programs that auto search blogs and give PR rankings theyre out there and I have one but havent used it in a long time.. I will look for it again and let you know..

If your thinking of blog commenting thats not allowed either... Believe me i have all the tools necessary to do all of that above automated the blackhat way but what about quality??

So basically what you are trying to say is that if you, the owner of the website do NONE of the "common internet marketing" type of backlinks, where would you get backlinks from?

Well for one, you left a few methods off your list:

software submissions to software directories
RSS feeds (your rss feeds submitted to rss aggregate sites)
social bookmarkings
Press Releases
guest-post on someone's blog with a link to your site

BEYOND those (and there's probably a few I'm forgetting too) you need to have content that other people legitimately WANT to link to. They would link to you because your content is really good, breaking info (like, you are the first to talk about it) or link-bait (really messed up/fake/wrong info that people talk about).

You can write "really good" content and hope people will find it.. but how often does that happen, if you don't already have some kind of following? You'd need to write something really good, or your site have a LOT of value that people see and want to link to (be an info authority) or the creator of some really useful software.

Those are the reasons why other people would link to you, and be the "quality" that you are looking for I take it? I say, build your own links

affiliate sites
sponsor other sites for a link
create something ridiculous so people naturally link to you
write awesome content
host blogs on other sites link blog to your site

i dont get why the regulr ways are no good?
