Linkedin now prompts you to log in to see posts under linkedin.com/pulse/

Edit: looks like a false alarm. It's back to normal now it seems.

Maybe they were split testing things?

It would be quite a loss of traffic for LinkedIn to suddenly turn off public viewing of Pulse articles, but then again that traffic might not be what the platform wants (signups, participation etc). I'm sure they have their own metrics to show how useful Pulse traffic is to their overall health and profits, so it's still a possibility that they remove public access. Or that big G whacks them...

True, I had same thoughts, why would they shoot themselves in the foot like that?
It's interesting how it will play out for Reddit and Linkedin, since these are no Outlook-Indias that appeared out of nowhere, but their organic traffic curve might look similar to how it went for OI depending on whatever G decides to prefer next in their next wild updates.
