Linked In New Events Features - Ideas for "hacks"?

Hey mabe some of you have seen the new LinkedIn events feature.

I was wondering if it could be used for something outside of events.

e.g.

- Promoting an eBook to all your connections (since you can invite them)
- Sharing a limited time offer with all connections

Has anyone of you tried something along those lines?
