Linkbuilding on Quora, Reddit... ?

Hello wise people,

I have this questions about linkbuilding.

Let's say you wrote an article about the best gaming mouse.. Now you head to all forums like Quora and you find someone who is running discussion or question about best gaming mouses. You will write "high-value comment" and will make a link to your article so it won't look like you are promoting something.

Is this worth it? Will you get some link juice (or how it is even called) from this technique?

1. Is it worth it to do it daily?
2. Can you get som ******** links?
3. are nofollow links even useful?
4. Can it produce traffic to your website if you do this technique daily?

Take my words with a grain of salt as I am still learning a lot.

I don't know if it will work or not. Just try it for a month or two and see what happens.

From a SEO perspective (as far as I know) no-follow links are useful so that your link profile doesn't look suspicious.
You'd want a 60-40 ratio of do-follow vs no-follow links.

So, I want to have nofollows as well right? :)
 
Try it. It may work. But
1. I am not comfortable with 'daily'
2. Write great stuff so that you can get many likes. The greater the content, the more clicks you will get
 
Those links are no follow and if they smell any attempt to self promote your site or spam the content will be deleted.

And if it works then you can get traffic, quality traffic at that and possibly get link back from other related sites that may want to publish your content on their sites..

Why you feel uncomfortable about that? I didn't mean to flood the same forum every single day..

Yes, I'm counting with it that most of them will get deleted. It would be great to build backlinks that way.. I would say a natural way.

I do it on my primary account everyday. I don't know if backlink from Reddit is ******** or nofollow. But there's some seller out there who claim sell ******** link from Reddit.
 
I post on quora on a daily bases promoting different affiliate products and services. My answers just got a bit over 2.7k views last week and over 100+ upvotes. All of which translated into a couple of affiliate sales and dozens of leads.
 
Based on some of the threads here promoting links from Reddit as a service, I would wager it has some value.

Personally, don't worry about do's and don't follows, providing your content is of high value and on a relative site/page or platform (i.e. don't beat on about pet care stuff on a diy site), then any relevant link will be valuable in the long run.
 
Quora are all no-follow, but they generally result in more targeted traffic and their moderation system is almost entirely automated and is easy to get around.
 
It's no follow but helps you with exposure and link diversity. Just make sure you answer questions related to your niche. It's a good way to get relevant and targeted audience.

Not everyone but me when I'm looking for answers on Quora, I cant help my self but click and open every website suggested. If I'm eager to find answers.

Do you use links for your affiliate products? my answers almost always gets deleted when I put affiliate links, included cloaked links, how do you get around this

Yeah, I was thinking about that same way.. I always click on those links because I'm curious :)

You can't really post direct affiliate links in Quora. This was a problem for me as well. And I wasn't putting affiliate links, I was putting up links to my own site. Which was just informative and non promotional but they still flagged me occasionally. One way that has worked for me until now is to just start a quora blog. You can post affiliate links to your Quora blog without any issues. And you can link to your Quora blog from your answers to get people to see your affiliate links.
 
These links are no-follow for seo nothing special, you can build them to keep natural link profile. They are good to drive traffic, from my experience quora traffic not so good and not converting, reddit better but this also depends on niche.
