Hi,

I run linkbuilding campaigns for several of my customers and I'm looking for a decent way to document my accomplishments.
How are you doing the documentation for your clients?

One possibility is to give them an excel sheet which includes all the urls where I put up a backlink to their sites.

The point is, I don't want to give them an excel sheet which documents each and every link (including domain, anchor text, ...).

Another alternative would be to report just progress of keyword rankings (using a seo tool like searchmetrics, seolytics,...) and traffic stats via google analytics, aditional I could add some examples of each link type (like blog articles, direcory links, blog comments,...).

looking forward to your suggestions

Count me in on this.....It would help for different link buidling for certain keywords!

Use the reports from Rank Tracker, they are very neat.

I like Rank Tracker too. I was using this website, which supposedly uses data from semrush, so not so reliable, but the report would come out as pdf, like on google analytics. It looked good.

How does rank tracker know which backlink package I bought and method (ie profile, bookmark etc?) Might be best to to have like a database catalog made to input say user id of person links bought from, type of links, start date etc....

I use Market Samurai, or you can use the free rank checker with the SEOBOOK. Or you can use SpyFu to see the old vs new keyword ranking.
