    Dear BHW friends,

I usually don't like asking for help and i spend most of my time on this forum reading.
However, i do have one thing that i would like some help with.

Quite a long time ago i made a website for a friend of mine.
He owns a small NGO in the country i'm currently living in and funds are scarce.
The main goal of the website wasn't to find donors, it was more to inform people and to find volunteers.
Some time has passed and the website is doing alright, he is able to maintain it himself.

However, i would like to help him out some more by improving the website's ranking and visitors.
The problem is that i don't have that much time to do a lot of research.
I will get there and i will be able to build links and get more visitors for him, but it will take me a lot of time as a side project.

Therefore i want to ask if anyone on this forum has some experience with this kind of thing and if you can help me out.
Perhaps give me some tips or places where i can go to get some good links and more visitors.

I want to add that there is absolutely no gain in this for myself what so ever.
Even my friend, the boss of the NGO, has no real personal gain in this.
All the money this NGO makes goes to a good cause.

Any tips or ideas are welcome :)

Its really good that you mostly do not ask for charity. But another question that raise here, why we will trust on you? do you have any valid reason?

Trust me? I'm just asking for some tips to build links to that website.
Anyone who is not sure about it can PM and i'll happily share all the details so that you can see my friend's NGO is 100% legit.

Right now i'm looking to bring more visitors to the website.
    2 kinds of visitors:

    1. People who are looking for volunteer work for free in Cambodia (Most of the time, NGO's are asking big money just to volunteer for a month or so)
    2. People who like to donate to charity.

The purpose of the NGO is to provide education for people who are too poor to pay for state school and such.
It has been going on for years like this.
When i started as a volunteer about 2 years ago, i taught the children there and i developed their new website.
I stayed there for about 6 months.
I still live in Cambodia, but i have my own job now and no time anymore to work there as a volunteer.
I do still give him advice about the website and i donate some money each month.

Really sad to see that NGOs who have a good cause die because of the lack of donations.
I'm sure that there are ways you can manually reach out to different website owners and ask for a link back to their site. In this way, it is going whitehat and would last long. I wouldn't recommend blackhat methods.
