The content/type of the site will not interfere in the link building..

The only concern is if google will accept the flash as a content if not it will be more hard to gain positions..

I have this website which I have promised to get to top 20 for a keyword. I've done xrumer, profile links, blog comments, article submission, social bookmarking and it is not even in the top 1000!. The keyword is 2 words and is in the title, description and meta.

    Any other ideas?

If you have no content on the site you might want to consider setting up a keyword domain and cloaking so that spiders see content and visitors are redirected to your flash site. The forwarding domains are throwaway because of the risk.

There's a few posts on this in the cloaking section and there's a WP plugin that seems to do this quite easily, haven't tested myself yet though.
