Link Wheels: 1 Strong better than 3 weak?

Hi there,
I've read quite a lot of stuff about link wheels but I just have one question that doesn't seem to be answered by anyone. (I'm sorry if it already is!)

Basically, Is one strong link wheel more value than 3 weaker link wheels.

What I mean is, if i write 10 completely unique articles and used 1/2 on each web 2.0 property, bookmarked every single 1, got a lot of blog comments for them etc etc. As apposed to 3 link wheels where I just write lets say 5 articles and spin them so they are slightly unique themselves and did a little bit of bookmarking and a little bit of blog commenting. Which one will give me the most benefit?

I just want to know, should I be working really hard to make a very high quality link wheel, or should I be looking more at the quantity of link wheels? Thanks :)

speaking from my experience, I have had more results from 100% unique articles.
 
Yeh I had a feeling that having 100% unique articles will help a lot. But what are your views on the links to each web 2.0 property? Should I spend a lot of time building links for just 1 link wheel or should i go on, write more articles and make more link wheels? :)
 
yes. Should I spend a lot of time building lots of links to 1 link wheel to make it powerful or should I just do a small amount of link building to a link wheel and then move on and make another
 
I would build linkwheels around the web2.0 properties. This will strengthen your original linkwheel. And in regards to the uniqueness of your articles. I have never seen a major difference when I used unique articles.

the only backlink building I do is the Social Bookmarking. I create approx 100 social bookmarks for each spoke of the linkwheel. Thats it really.

Then I create some more linkwheels. I have used different configurations, so I would suggest creating linkwheels with differernt linking structures and see what works for you.

It seems to have worked for me, I have the number 1 spot for my keyword in G against 90k competitors.

Oh, I have also created linkwheels for my subpages too.

yeah i would agree with that. I dont know about unique or spun articles as i have mainly used 100% unique stuff. so it would be unfair for me to see whats better
 
from our experiences for building linkwheels, using unique articles is more efficient.

You should make a good wheel ( not too much properties, the best is 12-14 ) and write good articles. After building the wheel, do social bookmark and submit/ping the RSS of each web2.0

A good wheel :

1. Good and unique content for a wheel of 12-14 web 2.0
2. Social bookmark for 127 sites each web 2.0
3. Submit to RSS and Ping each web 2.0
 
My linkwheels are only use 6 web 2.0 sites. Not sure why you think 12-14 is better.

Aint that obvious? More linking power if you got links to all the 2.0 sites.. Or am I missing something here?

not sure it works that way. my 6 web 2.0 sites have always performed better then the larger ones in terms of how they theselves rank.

i di a whole bunch of 10 plus linkwheels and a lot of 6-7 web 2.0 linkwheels. and in my experience the 6-7 web 2.0 LW have achieved the results i wanted quicker.

id prefer to create 2 seperate linkwheels of 6 web 2.0 sites rather then one of 12.

again, my opinion and my experience. unless someone wants to show me why 12 is better, ill be sticking with 6-7
