I created a linkwheel following the instructions on revit's "The PR-7 Linkwheel" post (thanks!) and now I am contemplating what to do next. As I understand it, even more important than backlinks now is actual traffic - true? So, I have decided on a few options...what is your advice?
This is for an e-commerce store. Let's say my keyword is Red Cashmere Sweaters.

    1. Create more link wheels around each article in my existing link wheel
    2. Create a new link wheel around a subdomain of my e-commerce site that is on the first page and nearly at the top of google for a secondary keyword "Red Cashmere Scarves" to launch that subdomain to the top and get traffic from it.
    3. Advertise on Craigslist to boost traffic and sales
    4. Work the social bookmarking/web 2.0 route by creating myspace pages, youtube videos, free downloadable ebooks, etc. around my main page and using main kw
    5. Any other option?

I'm sure that all of these are very viable...which would you think to be most time-effective?

As far as talking about linkwheels.... continue with your current linkwheel, don't stop. The bigger the better.
There are a couple diagrams in that post that people put up. Take a look at them to get an idea of how to expand your link wheel.

I will also be posting an auto linkwheel service soon ;)
