Link Wheel vs Link Pyramid

I've been experimenting with also doing article submissiosn to sites like ezine ( where I know my articles get PR2 and even up to 4 without any backlinks) and making them link to some of my web 2.0 sites :)

This is to make them higher PR of course. I'm starting to try out scrapebox too. I need to isolate a few KW that I will only push with link wheels in the future... Right now I do a mix of a lot of things that work very well but I can't be sure WHAT specifically is giving me success.

I have used link pyramids with good success.

Here's a basic diagram:

Mate this is a mini-net not a pyramid.

Whatever you use, make sure it is always randomized as google is noticing common trends more and more theses days.

Good luck xx

Micallef, thanks for clearing those things up for me.

Now, in the 'network', I read one of your other posts about how you built links to the web 2.0 properties, high PR comment spam -- in what way, exactly, do you get this done?

Do you automate the comments or do you cherry pick high PR blogs to manually comment on? If you did that, wouldn't it just be easier to link directly to your money site, since a genuine manual comment is white hat, whereas if you are using scrapebox to fully automate everything, I can understand why you would want to get automatic links.

I'm asking this because I tried to make web 2.0's with wordpress and hubpages, and comment spam to get links, but both accounts were suspended. What ways can I get links to my web 2.0 properties without getting banned by the web 2.0 providers?

Thanks

lol, after 2 years you're gonna bump this thread? The techniques discussed here are different now man, always look for the most recent posts, specially after every major algo change.

A link wheel is a waste of time (it's simple for Google to detect). A pyramid, if done right, is much better. As lapseo mentioned, built over time (rather than instantly). It can be a lot of work, though, but if you're having problems kick-starting your site, this might help (assuming your site's content is good). You have to remember though: it's black hat and, as a result, your site might end up getting penalised and pandalised.
