Blackhatters and SEO experts alike, i need some friendly advice if you will !

I have a site selling nothing but a very niche product and a 10 spoke linkwheel using various high PR properties ie wordpress blogger squidoo etc.

The link wheel properties have been backlinked alot using SB over the past year but all are either still N/A or PR 1 at best and hardly ever crawled. Im sure this is because i do not post fresh content often enough so that is what im now going to concentrate on :whoo:

The reason i have not posted lots of fresh original content on the link wheel web 2.0s often is because there is just so much you can say or write about this particular niche, and i think thats where i am going wrong!

To help explain properly lets say my niche is water slides and all i sell is water slides. I have been posting content on the web 2.0s regarding water slides and linking back to my main site, i am now outa new content for water slides and spinning never seems to work well enough for me so i dont post new fresh content often enough.

My question is, should i concentrate on just water? and not water slides? or find new content regarding other water fun related stuff like water guns and water balloons and post that to the web 2.0s ?

You see my understanding of a link wheel is that the spokes must be related to the main to give related juice and therefore cred in googles eyes but how far can i spread that relationship. I surely cant just post about any random subject and expect google to rank my web 2.0s, can i ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :batman:

you can write broader than your very specific niche; 'water fun' is still a niche and relevant topic to water slides.. so just write about that ..

whenever trying to figure out something like this, I usually ask myself "what would be the most natural looking setup"?

for something like water slides, i'd expect that there's links from sites that have to do with water slides, kid toy reviews, amusement parks, do it yourself sites, summer fun, bathing suits, party planning, etc.

it's helpful to have all links pointing in, however I personally try to go wide for a more "natural" look to the backlinking profile - sometimes i overdo things, however i also am usually (75% of the time) in a pretty good spot for a lot of my projects whenever there's an algo or panda update...

    just my 2 cents

If your main keyword is "water slide" then try mixing it would with related keywords .. and get more content.

Nobody is going to read your web2.0s, or if they do its never going to convert well enough to bother with having perfectly aligned content on them.

Write any article you want that is vaguely similar, any kind of water sports, sailing, kayaking, surfing, swimming, diving, etc.

I guess my question should have been, how to get niche juice!

Keeping the web 2.0s vaguely relating to my main sites niche gives the links to my main more "power" than posting random stuff. Its just how vague do i go ? Relating to one of my 2 keywords ie water is the way forward :batman:

    Thanks for the help
