[LINK] What You Don't Know About SEO

Wow, thanks for the great article. Didn't know that these companies were charging upwards of 12,000 USD per month for this type of stuff.

"As a trick question ask them how much time they spend on meta tags"

Lol, one of my clients asked me this the other day and when I replied, not much time at all as they are not one of the most important factors in getting ranked, he told me his friend was a "SEO expert" and spent ages optimizing meta tags on his other site (a fully flash website by the way) to make it search engine friendly. Needless to say, the site wasn't even indexed. Ah the joys of working with clients.

if the author of the article really knew that much about SEO they wouldn't be using XINU Returns to analyze their sites and they certainly wouldn't be recommending people who actually don't know about SEO to do so! Case of blind leading the blind...

i get a half-dozen phone calls per year from companies offering worthless seo services, and they all charge sky high rates.

SEO is not a one time process, why not?

Lot of reason, main one in my opinion.

Meta tag optimization, today may be last for a phrased KW, so for today its done, when site reach top on that KW, change Meta tag another KW, this process continues and continues until we reach top for single word KWs.

After reaching top for this, will we stay on top. If you have no competitor, you will be in top, but there is always competition.

I am learning SEO, one by one searching, thanks to you all guys for precious post, which will add one star to my collection.

thank you

this expert talks about link building, and only really mentions Blogs?! Yeah thats really quality link building! He doesnt mention anything about linking from websites themed to your business/sector, or ones with nice PR (but i think relevant websites are better than just finding links from sites with nice PR, IMO)

Its pretty simple really, if you are going to pay for SEO find a company with some nice cleints, with real live testimonls, that are ranking for thier keyterms (why would you employ a company that is on page 4 for SEO?), that sends you progress reports, link reports, and find a company that does Pay on results or similar. Also no point paying a company 400 quid a month for the most competitive keyterm, you will never reach page 1 that way. Thye have to be realistic campaigns.
