Link to the frontpage inside article

Hello,

These SEO things change so fast that I kept track of what works, what is good and what is bad.

Lately, I am wondering if linking on the same website to a frontpage from inside the article is a good method as interlinking?

For example, I have website fancy shoes, then I write an article about Leather Shoes for Woman, and inside that article, I put an anchor text link to the frontpage using keyword Fancy Shoes.

How does a google look at that? (Me trying to trick him? or he loves this?)

Yea, but will it not look at it like a manipulation of the anchor keyword?

I think you should use the relevant page to keyword or anchor which you are using in the article.

Yes of course. But still... any ideas if Google looks at it as manipulation?

For example:
I have Cars website and i want to rank frontpage for "cool cars" and then in few articles on deep pages I make a linkback to frontpage with keyword "cool cars".
Whats your stand at this mone:
1. it helps in rankings
2. it is neutral, nor helps nor do harm
3. it harms

As long as the link provides value to the user (I.E. The link text contextually makes sense on both pages) you're good.

You can definitely link back to your homepage as it is considered to be a healthy option. But make sure the content you are posting is of high quality and the context around the keyword sounds relevant too.

I have just done the reversal for that I had my home page ranking for a keyword for which I had already made a page. So I linked the targeted keyword from home page to internal page and withing 2 days the internal page showed up the ranking. So I hope reversal will also work.
