Question - if you put a link to an already indexed article , it will be intexed fast? or automattically maybe?

not necessarily, it depends on the quality of your content mainly.

Depends on the quality of the site
how many robots are running around
how often do those articles actually update/change

If we are talking about quality sites then yeah, some changes gets reflected and re-indexed really fast

For example
BHW gets indexed super fast, but there is a delay between the index'ed version getting re-indexed and updated ;)

If you insert links on high traffic, relevant pages, then the chances of getting traffic are higher since your links are inserted within already indexed pages or posts.

This also depends on how often Google recrawls that website, and more specifically its content, let alone your link within the content.

It's not guaranteed but it can help.
It all depends on your content

It depends on the quality of the content. If the quality of the content is high and it's 100% unique, google will automatically index it. Also, indexing is slow on these days. If it's give some time for indexing.
