Link strategy for my blog?

Hello,

i recently started amazon affiliate site and need a help.

I post TOP 10 like articles daily.
but most of them are on 2nd~3rd page on SERP.
I only target long tail keywords.

How should I boost the rank on the newly posted posts?
should I build backlinks to the each post or
I should build backlinks to the homepage so that my domain gets stronger?

I really need a good backlink strategy.
help me please

no, newly registred

If the site is newly registered i suggest you go easy with your link building strategy. Also don't just build links randomly as this may have a negative impact on your website.

but it's already more than a year.

I mean it's not expired domain

Have you even started with your backlinking already?
If not, start with foundation links first, then target the home page and afterwards push your winner ranked pages
Just don't rush the process and wait for the created links to be crawled before increasing your campaign
SEO is for the long run

Not an expert on how long your domain will be in the sandbox but once you get out of it, you should build your domain authority. Without strong backlinks to your homepage your posts won't rank for many keywords.

I suggest you monitor how many keywords each of your blog posts rank for for the top 100 or top 50. This would be an indicator if your posts are getting any traction in the SERPs and could also tell you if your site is still in the 'sandbox.'

Building a blogs authority properly is going to take time, don't take shortcut and buy bulk backlinks, especially if your site is not aged yet.

I would do both: build good, strong backlinks to your homepage to improve your domain's authority which, in return, will boost the rankings of the easy keywords. And, additionally, point a few links to the URLs that already rank on pages 2-3 of google to boost them to page 1.

I would go with 50-60% of the backlinks pointing to the homepage, and the other 40-50% I'd split between the inner pages that are already on google's page 2 or 3 to try and boost them.

But start off slowly, don't just blast your site with 100s of links in one week! Do few links a week for a few months, then increase the number gradually until you achieve the desired rankings

how many backlinks u suggest for my site which is more than 1 year old and ranked on top on G for couple of keywords (around 5 keywords)?

there isn't an exact number. If your domain already has backlinks get a ballpark of their number (or check Ahrefs, your GSC, or both) and since your domain is 1 year old divide that ballpark figure by 12 and try to stay within that average. For example, if your domain has 270 links gained over the last 12 months that means 270 divided by 12 = 22.5 backlinks per month on average. So you will want to build 20-25 links per month. But keep in mind that this is NOT written in the books of SEO, it's just what I noticed to be a safe number, you might still get your site tanked for reasons that only google knows.

And if your site doesn't have any backlinks yet, start with 3-4 per month and keep an eye on your rankings as you continue building those links. If you see ranking movement (either up or down, but preferably up, obviously, but make sure it's movement, not google dance!) it means that you're doing things right. If your site plummet all of a sudden, even though you are 100% confident that your links and the drip-feed are safe give it a few days for your rankings to recover / improve as sometimes rankings do drop initially, only to skyrocket to top of google few days later where they stay for years.

Again, link building is not exact science. I mean, the process itself is exact science, but its numbers aren't ... So, start slowly and keep an eye on the progress (if any), and you'll generally know what to do as you see your rankings improve, plummet or stagnate

it starts getting impressions and clicks. When you add your site to your Google Search Console, it shows that you are ranking in top 100 but you're not even getting impressions, despite of this misleading ranking. This means that your site is sandboxed. There might be other indicators, and I'm too lazy to google for the full explanation of a sandbox, but this is definitely one of the indicators.

I created 2 sites in september 2020 on 2 fresh domains, slammed 10 garbage articles (400-500 words long that barely made any sense) on them, added 1 image to each article, bolded a few key words, just for the fun of it, added the sites to GSC and then I forgot about them until last year when, all of a sudden, they have started getting impressions in my GSC around June I believe. So, for about 8-9 months the sites have been sandboxed

Again not an expert but from what I know if your site has experienced very consistent low traffic for a long time its an indication you are in the sandbox. This is after you've built good links to the site and you don't see much movements to your ranks and traffic for weeks maybe months.

Once you see a spike in traffic out of no where, that could be an indication that you are moving out of the sandbox, if your traffic spikes but then drops off back to normal then you may still be in the sandbox. You will know you are out of the sandbox when your ranks for low hanging fruit keywords start pushing to the top of the results. Your posts gets indexed much quicker, etc.

Again, just keep going be patient build good links not cheap and nasty ones. Write good content 800 - 1200 words long, the longer the better. These days I believe 1200+ articles pull more traffic. I think I read somewhere about buzzfeed saying they found 2000+ articles pulled the best results. Can't remember the exact amount but its near the 2000 word count, someone correct me if you remember.

You can start with building new links for the homepage it will increase your domain trust. Also, whenever your write an article analyze your competitors and make your keywords in the first 100 words also your article must be longer than your competitor it will help you rank 1st in SERP.

what links should i build to homepage?

Create links related to your niche website (guest post, web2.0, social bookmarking, citations, directories, classified ads) must create links on all social media accounts(Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Tumbler, Scoop It, Reddit, Plurk, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc)

You should combine adding quality keywords and backlinks to your site, as it seems like you aren't getting good results with keywords as well. Search for new phrases and implement them on different parts of the site and in the meta-tags as well. As for backlinks, you first need to take care about buying only proven and good ones that direct to other reliable sources online. Put most of them on your homepage, but don't overload it with links, and the rest of the place on other pages on the site that you also want to rank.
