Link size and placement on the site - How much does it count?

Hello I'm hoping to find out how much does a link size on the site and link placement (bottom of the page) count in rankings? Thank you.

Hi! I guess the higher the link the better for ranking. Also it is best to have them in the content, but not in the footer.

Apparently Google gives slightly more strength to the first link on the page, don't know how true that is and it's a hard thing to test. However, I know that footer links are generally seen as being low quality so links in the body of the content are the way to go and no harm in trying to get them in towards the top of the page.

Yes, link size and placement does matter.

First of all, if your anchor text link is bolded or is heading size 1, 2, or 3, that link might get more weight.

Also, if the placement of the link is higher up on the page, this can also benefit you more.

Keep in mind that Google has put in place certain modifications to its algorithm so that WordPress footer links have less of an effect.

This is why it may be a good idea to earn or build links that are higher up on a page

Link placement matters a nice amount but I dont know about link size.

And footer links are still good if they are from high authority sites, I wouldn't bother with them if its a low authority site tho.
