Probably something changed within their ToS, check if you got any notification/email from their part
This is a really good point.It seems to be pretty easy to get bit.ly links taken down with the right number of reports, so it may have been a competitor or the owner of the parasite you were (ab)using. Check what shorteners similar parasites to yours are using and see if you can follow suit.
