Link market protocol

Would somebody be interested to work on community standard for link trading?

My initial ideas:

• Use REST as message transfer protocol
• Use FIX for message encoding (key value with header and check-sum)

I have not seen existing protocol and would like to see one if possible. Opinions like/dislike/constructive sugestions?

This could be done with xml standarts?
