Hey guys and gals.

I usually linger around content creation and UX design in IM. But yesterday I was asked by a co-worker if the link juice you recieve through a link is only based on the strength of the page it's coming from or is it the strength of the entire website?

Yes, and no. :)

Its from the specific page. However since there are internal links to this page - the stronger is the website, the better result you got, so you may say that its "entire website" as well.

Both the juice of the entire site goes to the particular page where your link is.

That said it depends on the structure of the site and internal linking, for example, if this particular page is linked on the home or are internally linked multiple time you will have a massive link juice.

It depends on structure & condition of the page. if it has good UR then the link can also provide a good Juice. if DR is high then its / page will be will better.
 
Page relevance also seems to be a factor nowadays that's controls how powerful a link is
 
Both, they are related. It's not black or white. The strength and authority of the domain do matter, and so does the strength of a particular page. I know it sounds super abstract but there are a lot of factors that come into play, as I said, it's not just black or white.
 
Google consider both, page value and domain value. If a HQ domain is linking to your site from its inner page with not so many links, It's still going to benefit your site in terms of authority. In case page is quite popular and got many links, it's big plus.
