I would like to know what the best option would be in terms of SEO
I am selling a product from a business that has shut down (owners retired) and am using a new domain name. The old domain name did not work for our new company and product name.
The old domain has hundreds of very good and aged backlinks to it.
I now own the old domain.
My question:
Is it better to set up a redirect from the old domain to my new domain?
or
Is it better to set up a landing page with a prominent link to the new domain?
I see positives for both scenarios, the first would bring more traffic but the second may carry over more link juice as it would almost be like a natural link wheel.
Would love to hear your suggestions.
