I've just realised that if I put a link on the profile page of a brand new instagram account, then visit that account from another account the link is hidden.

Is there any reason for this, the link works fine on an old account I have, just a problem with my new account?

What is ghosting? Isn't it like using tiny url or something like that.

No it means your account has been flagged as spam, and will no longer be able to connect to urls. It's what Craigs List and many blogs do. Instagram is getting stricter and stricter by the day (unfortunately). Many hash tags have been disables... once that used to get tons of views like "instababes" Probably due to all the bots this forum has been manufacturing lately :)

Good luck to all...

I have noticed some restrictions too. If i try to comment on my own pic with more of the same hash tags that are in the caption then it will say "Sorry cant post that right now" or something along those lines.

I always see people spamming comments with text urls like....How well do those covert?

Interesting but easy to solve!!Do not add links to new accounts the first day just build it up 2nd day add links they show up!! =)

This won't work. Instagram checks links to the source as they are posted. Account age has nothing to do with it. There are creative solutions but I cant share that info.

When you say they check the links to the source what are they looking for to ban you from posting links/hiding your links?

what do you mean to the source? you mean where the link will direct?

I've made a free mobile optimized site, it worked however the conversion went down tremendously.

How do you check to see if the link has been ghosted?

OK, sorry I need to clarify. Is there a way to check profile pages from a computer??
