Then you would have to use and maintain a bunch of cheaper tools. So instead of having one piece of software to update, you have 3 or 5. You also have to keep switching apps. And you probably have to manage/transform your data in between.

Wonder if anyone know how to use the linkwheel features in the LFE? Also, I got a problem - it seemed that the activation is kinda slow and I wonder if it is processing and cron job is running. Anyone got a better idea?
 
One of the things I really appreciate about LFE are the frequent updates to add features, fix bugs, or respond to changes in Wordpress or Pligg.

Another thing I really appreciate about LFE is that it runs on my web server and is not another annoying Microsoft Windows application.

Yes, it is still working. But I only wish they would help to find more wpmu hosts that are working well. With the all crack versions around, I find that most hosts get spoilt very quickly.

I hardly think so. who would need win app? 90% use it on their servers. but you can always install it on WAMP/MAMP.

I do have it on WAMP. Who would need it as a windows app? I for one would love to see the transition, as it would improve LFE 10 times. Everything would be better and faster.

I got a refund. It's a very good software. The thing is that WPMU sites are getting smarter and the success rate in creating accounts and being able to post is getting lower. I'm looking forward to the 2.0 version and I'll buy the software again.
