Hello , i want to share with you one of my tests.
What i've done :

1. bought a domain pr 3 , 5 years old
2. made a list with 30 000 autoapprove blogs (diff domains)
3. made about 30 000 links in just a few hours
4. ranked top 5 for most of my keywords (some were ranked number 1) in just 1 week

I was getting about 200 visits a day from search engine for about 5 days
Now i think i got a temporary SERP sandbox. I'm still ranking for some of the keywords , but not so good anymore. I got this temporary ban for 24 hours already , idk if the website will come back or not.

My solution :

1. Made about 10 000 profile links to my pages
2. Now i will try to index about 500 links a day and see what happends

also i forgot to mention that i created 5 web 2.0 pages with a spined article and blast them also with scrapebox.
 
for the web 2.0 creation i have used SEnuke , anyway you can just do it manually.
 
Were you Skipping the Wordpress ones- Since they are Nofollow and only used the ******** ones such as Blogengine ones?

not super competitive ...
first website had about 7 000 links to it and PR5
but just a few of his backlinks were using my keyword anchortext (less then 5%)
also didn't had the keyword exact match in title.

Some of the keywords were more competitive.
Websites with 500 backlinks (50% of the backlinks had my keywords anchor texts) and exact match keyword domain.
 
I have commented mostly on wordpress (80%) , blogengine (15%) , movable type (5%)
I didn't care about the PR or ********.

Most of the backlinks that i got had the keyword anchor text. (95.3%)

OK! and now the domain is back ranking nr 1-3 for 4 keywords that i have targeted. Getting around 200 visits a day. So if you got a penalty don't worry about it , wait a bit , and then build more links and you will come back even stronger.
 
This is good to know thanks for posting. will keep this in mind in case it happens to me

Thanks for posting the details of your test and the results. This sort of info is orders of magnitude better than opinions. Great work!
 
If you want long term results , make sure in your linkbuilding strategy you include links that will stick and get old with the time , this will help you a lot to get out of the sandbox.
 
For example a forum post link is most likely a short term link because will get deleted(not all the times) . A forum profile link is a more long term link.

Or a web 2.0 property with a lot of links to it is the best way to go , but this take time.
 
all the newbs around should take a gfood exemple from your experience. The coclusion I see:
1. Find a good keyword with moderate competition.
2. Blast the hell out of it.
3. Get on top poritions.
4. Get sandboxed.
5. Blast even more, so you get out of the snadox higer in rank
6. ???
7. profit.

Ive been looking for uBoost.
What else can do what uBoost does ?
 
keep the link velocity alive to stay on top... dont link directly to main page... make a solid tree!
