I always put traffic first, goodog second.

But, i never use copy/paste content on any of my sites or blogs, so that tells you i do care about goodog to an extent.

I mean, im aware of who they are and the power they possess, and while i dont walk on eggshells for goodog, i take them into account when doing things that they may see and take into consideration as it relates to my sites.
Yeah, i'm having a similar stance. Make the app as usefull as possible but not focusing too much on the google aspect. Keeping things in order and in common sense and try not to break the rules as much.
You can do it if you don't make the data public. Once you make it public, the sites will fall out of SERPs like a pack of cards.
I don't think making the exchange network data public is a good practice in any sense so I agree on that.

I've built hundreds of link exchanges, but never with rankings in mind.

What I want to do with these is building partnerships, drive relevant traffic quick and get people to know I'm open to do business.

My best two websites grew to 400k/month traffic also thanks to these partnerships in niches like cyber security and web hosting.

IMHO, look only at sites that are closely related and have a min of 100k/month traffic (similarweb). Even better if they have their own brand ambassadors

yes, google act as jury, judge and executioner with our sites

it is a bad idea, if you're trying to rank with link exchange that is
maybe mobile installs, CPI's like manual traffic exchange's, but not sure the end of all this... i mean the fruit of your labour?

ugh, I don't remember what the point of my initial comment had been so I can reply accurately, but... since I'm a declared and passionate google hater how can I miss the opportunity on hating them once more? :D

So yes, the fruit of my labor (whatever this means lol) :)

You can always link exchange to 3º party websites that are not related, in that case you would need at least 2 websites of your own to work with, website 1 would link to the other webmasters website, and the other parties website would link to your 2º website that shouls not be related to your site or linking to it
