I'm thinking of building a very simple link coop, the coop will be purely for the basis of getting backlinks, so you don't even have to display the links if you don't want to, atleast not to visitors just to bots.

Would anybody be interested in joining?

That's the plan, but it'll need more than just me and you, for it to work

    How would this work?

I could be interested, but somehow need this to work in html files and not php.

As all my cloaked pages are in pure html.

I was thinking of including a file from the ad server, to place the ads, not sure how you would include the file into straight html but I'll look into it.

With perl you can add some specific commands and have htaccess execute them.

I know its not what you probably wanted to do, but because I use shadowmaker for my cloaking, that would be the only way I could make it work.

I thought I was doing well with 12 different C-Classes

Not really my area with the running php, I'll have a play and comeback to you on that.

Would people want the links to be publically viewable or just presented to bots?

For me it would only be for the bots as no normal user can see my pages.

I'm thinking the same, and I have some pages that I don't want other companies links on, but I'd be happy for the bots to see them.

You can make your html file run as though they are php files if your concern is changing all the .html files to .php.

Just add this to your .htaccess

    Code:
    addtype application/x-httpd-php .html .htm

This would then allow you to put php code within .htm and .html files and it would execute the same. In addition, html files would run as they do now without issues.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you, so there is no limitation by adding this line to the .htaccess file?

no limitation at all. html keeps working as it does now but you would then be able to interpret php code within .html and .htm files.

In theory execution of html files would be slightly slower since they are now running through the php interpreter but I assure you that you will never be able to tell. Just theory....
