Hi,

I run a large facebook page (over 2 million fans and with good engagement) which has it's own website. Couple of quick questions I had.

1. When implementing like/share using open graph, is it necessary to pass in a fb_appid? If so, I'm struggling to understand what the correct configuration would be for this "app".

2. Going back about 6-12 months ago, our ratio of page views to link clicks was about 3:1. Meaning, for every link click, there was approximately 3 page views. I had put this down to virality (users sharing the content). As I mentioned this was 6-12 months ago. At some point we noticed that this ratio was pulled right back to 1:1. Now obviously you can say that perhaps it is to do with our content quality, but I can assure you, we've done plenty of tests and our content is bang on (which can be seen by engagement and CTR). I'd love to see whether there are any other page admins here that experience a similar 3:1 ratio for good content?

I had actually put this down to an algo change a while back but having spoken to two different page admins today and comparing insights, they have approx 3:1 at the moment. I setup an "app" a while back for my website (no idea if i did it right) and have noticed it isn't "approved". I'm not sure whether it was ever approved or not though. I've also noticed only one specific domain was tied to the app, despite us regularly using multiple domains. So the end result is I have no idea if I've done something unintentionally to lower the ratio.

Would love to hear your thoughts/comments.
