Link building to a site under construction

I tried to search about this but I don't found nothing, sorry if it was discussed.

I am developing various sites using high age domains (8-12 years), at this time the sites are only with a "under construction" index, and I need at least 3 months for finish them. It's a good idea start now with link building? I wanna use some links pyramids, social signals, promoted blog posts and some sape links...

Yes...sure that's fine. I would be extremely cautious about the kind of links you build. Naturally, not too many folks link to site's that haven't been build/established yet -- so this is going to appear as #Spam if you over do it. I would keep it very high quality. I always recommend quality over quantity.

The day of the launch is your window of opportunity. This is when you'll be able to start creating more links. Remember though that quality is the key here, quantity means absolutely nothing whatsoever.
