Hey guys,

I was wondering about the strength (if any) of link backs that are in our video player for google ranking purposes.
Our videos are syndicated to a network of websites. (all real website in our industry that use our videos)
all our videos have a logo of our company that is clickable and links back to us, is that good or do we need actually text links as well.

Most video sites are no-follow. There goes your plan LOL

It's only a branding technic, don't worry about it.

what do you mean most video sites are no-follow. the sites using our videos are no video sites. they are sites with wontent and we syndicate our videos on their site.

We are the one branding it. My question is does our video works as a link back considering they are using our content, or should we be asking for a link back.

Hi,

It's one of the strategy, It is Okay, not to worry about it.. Most of the time, such sites don't follow..

You can place the link in bottom of your video for easy access.

Now you are using your company logo that's also nice method for attracting visitors.

I think the most important factor is if your logo in the video is a link that Google's bot can crawl. If it's a ******** link and Google can "see" it, it should be counted somehow I think. You can always request a text link as well, it will not hurt. It's also a question if the sites are good and will pass authority to your website, or are they full of spammy links. I guess in your case, they are OK, right?

Can you explain what you mean by link in bottom of video? do you mean in the code of the video?

sorry I cannot see the **********.

Considering google doesn't crawl image very well, does my video get crawled as well at lets say a textual link?

Anybody else with their thoughts on this?
