Link building through trackbacks

Hello forum posters,

I was just thinking that can we build links using trackbacks. We all know that every reply we can put urls on trackback textbox. So why not we take the advantage. But the question is will i get ranking or pagerank if I build links through trackbacks? I know its not possible to get visitors from trackbacks cause the trackback urls can be seen by visitors.

People are using trackbacks for quite a while now.
Just think about scrapebox. I sold in the past years, almost exclusively AA trackbacks lists.
Also consider the whitehat built trackbacks.

Trackback spam is a very old technique and extremely saturated like blog comments are. Don't expect too many backlinks from it. Better or just easier comment on AA-list and put your link directly.

Traffic from bot and traffic from real user those are totally different thing. Can you tell me what urls I have used while opening this thread?

Can someone please share how you actually collect the trackbacks from other sites?

My competitor at #1 spot has a few HIGH-pr trackbacks to his site that I want as well. But how do I actually get 'em? Do I have to make a post and simply link to that url?

It's .edu links with high-pr but it's not really related to what we do.
