Link Building Question

Hi guys, I just have a few questions regarding building backlinks.

I'm currently building backlinks to the blog pages which is internally linking to the service/location pages (money pages)

Would it be wise to directly build links directly to the service/location pages (money pages)?

As I see a lot of competitors directly building links towards their money pages and their rankings/keywords are rising.

However, I read a lot of articles saying that building links towards money pages are too risky and does not seem natural to Google. As a result might detriment the website.

You should work on both. Don't just target root domain and dont just target the service page. Initially to build some foundation backlinks and blog outreach to root domain to increase DA then you could go for service pages. Both are important to get boost your service pages.
 
Target both mate , and choose the keywords wisely as they matter alot .

The content on the page would determine whether it is indeed risky to link to it. I would say nearly all content and resources on the web are linkable so yours would not be different.

The only thing that could make it risky is when the links do not appear natural. Try make your link fit as naturally as possible.
 
If they're relevant to the page you're linking to, it's fine
Just try to avoid high DA/DR domains with no traffic
 
i think blog commenting is best for you.

Thank you for all your feedback.

The company that I am working for is a Paving business in the Australia and we service the whole of Australia.

I was wondering if I should solely focus on Australian backlinks or if I should have a variation between tier 1 countries (UK, US, CA, NZ, AU).

Also if I am getting a link from any where outside of AU, would it be wide to directly get the links to point towards the money pages? Would that be considered as unnatural as other countries would be promoting a business in Australia.

I hope that make sense

It's of course best to stick with backlinks from Australian sites, as your site is very local, though mixing a few from abroad is not a big deal.

If you have a blog section for example, it would be fairly natural for some DIY blogs to link to information you provide on your site, whether they are located in US/UK etc.

Already mentioned blog posts are okay for some traffic and at least some backlinki profile, but make sure they are very very well written and not spammy. Try to create a blog section on your site and get some nice DIY niche guest posts as well.
 
Building a larger number of links to the same page may look unnatural to Google. So, build links to both the main page and the targeting page. This will help establish a natural link profile and improve the overall authority of your site. When targeting links to your money page, make sure they are relevant and come from a trusted source. Links from low-quality sites may tank your website.

Also, don't rely on a single source. Diversify your links to various sources, such as guest posts, niche edits, press releases, etc.
 
Pointing a large number of links to same pages isn’t a great decision. Instead you can focus on Australian links for service and location pages in a way they also have some parasite links to balance out those direct links.

For your case it’s best to stick with Australian links unless of course you can guest post into similar or connected niche businesses located in other countries, which will certainly garner a huge value for your project.

understand the nature of your page and build links accordingly, for example, Citations and business profiles on the home page—service or money pages on blog post exchange. inner blog post via blog posting or social bookmarking. there is the limited number of websites that get indexed by google. so create your list according to suitable authorities.

yeh that wouldnt hurt.
 
I am not suggesting you to do backlins place on root domain. If you launch a blog page you to setup specific keywords on each page. So you decide to google to rank specific page. That's why you need to do create backlins for your target page and homepage too. try to follow the structure like Homepage/otherpages 40%/60%
