Hey everybody!

Today,I was checking my competitors back links through semrush.
I found few of them however,Whenever I went on those links I could hardly find my competitor's link on that page.

Most of them didn't even had my competitor's website on those pages and neither was there a place to submit post or leave a comment.

What should I do? I am having a real hard time making even a single back link cuz I have no experience of link building.

@ContentWriter I don't think that's the case. If Semrush can detect it, than most of the time it's not a PBN.

Probably it depends from the niche you are in. If it's a blackhat one, they can use z-index and hide the links.

I would suggest to check the source of the page (if you use Windows, ctrl + u) and type the competitor link.

You do not have to pace your links exactly where your competitors have, instead, copy their strategy and do better than them.

Yes, I agree with @sickonomia If you run a serious and long-run business then do better than competitors.

Sometimes competitors using blackhat or grayhat techniques. You must avoid if you want to sustain longtime.
Just try to asses competitors backlinks, understand links quality, theirs SERP, traffic sources, etc.

Then try to use better strategies and Google friendly techniques to grow your website.

If you can't find those links visibly on those pages, it could be either
1) the links have since been removed
2) the links have invisible texts, which you can use the browser and use the 'view source' option to view the source-code. Try finding the url of your competitor using 'ctrl-f' and you should be able to locate those links - even invisible on the page. These invisible links could be hacked links.

lul i disagree. if u do blackhat fine it can be long term too. its not that hard to make it impossible to judge if site belongs to you...
