Link Building in 2025 Which Methods Still Work Best?

Recently, I've been experimenting with a variety of web 2.0s, specialty edits, and guest pieces. Although the results are passable, it seems that what works varies year. Interested in learning from the community: Which link-building strategy is currently yielding the highest return on investment? Are outreach, PBNs, and HARO-style linkages still effective? Or are natural backlinks and content more important these days? Constantly willing to absorb knowledge from actual experiences

From what I’ve seen, HARO and quality guest posts still deliver strong ROI if done consistently. PBNs can work short term, but they carry higher risk long term. Lately, natural backlinks through strong content + outreach seem to sustain rankings better.
