Yes, as you ideally need GMB etc as well as the rest of the seo effort.

can I GMB my home address? coz the place I work is taken by another biz, and actually from this being said, it's a dilemma: home address is in 1 zip code, the place I wanna get indexed is another zip code, how to do?

Yes Local Business strategies are totally different than normal link building strategies.
