Link Building for Local Business

I've ordered some local citation services for my local business client. What I'm wondering is, what other kinds of services would be beneficial for ranking their business for terms that they want to rank for? Would love some feedback from you guys!

Depending on who you hired to do the citations, you should plan on redoing all of them.

The citations need to be optimized and as close to identical to each other as possible, and most importantly, in the right category.

Keep getting quality citations, until you have all the high quality ones, and continue to search for new ones (I can run you a citations report if you need it).

You need a google plus page, and a google places (maps, local plus, or whatever the hell its called now) page, all optimized.

You need to set up a review system and start getting reviews.

You need to do content marketing.

You need your NAP in as many places as you can muster, including the usual social platforms.

You need to use structured data (schema) on the site.

You need your onpage seo razor sharp.

Get some videos up. Get some white papers out and shared. Get some images online, and shared.

Put out press releases.

And a hundred more things.

OP start with these and go for Glassdoor & Yelp reviews too.

Try out some good local seo tools such as moz local, white spark and bright local

If you have covered everything in local citation , You can move to build links for his site using local keywords.

It would be also good to build some contextual authority links from web2.0s, guest posts, private PBNs.

There's a lot of bells and whistles you can do, but in my experience, just build links. They still work the best
