Link building for each page

Everyone will have a different opinion for this topic. for some internal linking works and for some there's no real need to do that.
For me building links to homepage have worked always. Never really did much for inner pages.
All you can do is testing

now you should put your full attention to your internal pages ..
create some quality web 2.0s (start with 3-5 daily) with quality articles and social bookmark them manually..use 10 high PR social bookmark sites for each web.20 backlinks
Go for blog commenting to the high PR niche relevant blogs and it would be really best if you can do some blog posting to the relevant sites.
do it in a slow per steady manner and you will see the improvement very soon.

Blog posting to the relevant high PR sites it would be beneficial for you.Forums posting,Article submission also the best way for link building to each page of your site.

I think Lubna you have to need high rank sites to build links.You should make internal links for your content or site that will be helpful for you.Internal links can be helpful for you.

If you are targeting low competition kw's in the inner pages - a few quality social bookmarks + social signals
If you are targeting medium+ competition kw's in the inner pages - the above + 1-2 guest posts on related sites
For the home pages you should build only very high quality backlinks. Better to have fewer but quality, rather than a lot of bad links. If you have a good internal linking structure, you can always remove/redirect/etc a bad post/page but the home page will get you whole website penalized.

I would prefer to put all my efforts on inner pages. since you can target long tail keywords which i believe you can rank well. if you have done the basic link building such as bookmarking, blog commenting, guest posting, etc... and its still not working, maybe you should try this out.

"Equal" distribution across subpages, is IMO the best strategy for maintaining long-term rankings and appearing natural. Homepage would naturally have more links than the subpages.
