Lingerie Dropshipper

Used this company for dropshipping lingerie for my website in 2002-2005. Stopped because of too many backorders but they might have got that straight now as they made a bunch of changes. Definitely top level (manufacturer) as I was getting product at 50% of retail.

100% markup was standard pricing back then plus shipping from competition. I did 100% markup and ate the shipping and it worked ok.

Furthermore a friend still uses this company so I know they are in business. Good luck!

yo i wasnt trying to spam i am new and trying to participate in the community. the first site is a legitimate dropshipper and if u ever tried searching drop shippers, you know that all u get is a bunch of people trying to sell lists.

second the other site isnt even taking orders, maybe i shoulda left that out so please excuse the noob mistake.

Im a programmer trying to switch teams cause im tired of being taken advantage of(work my ass off to make ingrates money then they leave my ass hanging out to dry for the winter).

edit: read the thread title and tell me how thats spam. I saw in the welcome message area all the love to noobz but maybe thats just more of the stuff your complaining about.

Their prices are actuall very good, and their products are good quality as well. The problem is with shipping. They have a $5.00 per dropship charge and then their shipping is a little on the high side for the smaller orders. Shipping will cost a minimum of $15.00 even if they place a small order.

We multiplied cost by 2.25 to get our retail pricing and that kept us priced below 90% of the other online stores. But we had to have a minimum order of about $100 if you give free shipping.

You also can't use any other supplier if you set up as drop shipping. Again because of the shipping and drop ship charges. Imagine if a customer buys a couple pairs of panties from the EM catalog, a camisole from another mfg, and then something from another. Each company will charge shipping and the dropship charge. If you make $100 sale and then get 3 shipping charges and dropship fees. If you want to charge shipping you will have to make a flat rate charge, because you have noway to determine in advance what the shipping price will be. So if you give free shipping your cost is about 45 for the merchandise, then about $45 in shipping, leaving you a $10 profit. If you charge the shipping to the customer then your profit would be $55, but noone will buy because the shipping is so high.

But if you only carry the Elegant Moments brand, you are competing with thousands of other online stores that carry the same products, plus products from other manufacturers. Much harder for you to compete.

If you could afford to put together stock orders from all mfgs shipped to your home then you can save quite a bit on the shipping, plus no dropship fees. Then ship to your customers from your stock, and you can offer decent shipping. Doing it this way would cost you a LOT less on shipping and let you offer accurate shipping charges to your customers.

For those reasons I don't really recommend dropshipping in general. If you go the carry your own stock route, then you are dealing with the hassles of carrying a physical product. Unless you have a lot of cash to stock your own product and the resources to keep track of the inventory, stopcking it, boxing and shipping it, etc. I recommend digital products as a much better way for the small guy to make money online.

I was with them when I think it was just Allure Leather i think. I only remember getting that one manufacturers catalog and I had a link to the site but I got flamed. Its my username dot com.

After seeing the List Control modules they are really selling one product through a bunch of fluff, so a niche might not be that bad if you can be competetive. I was only selling that one shippers products so I didnt have those issues GW spoke of.

I did free shipping - minumum order 50 bucks so if i only got a 50 dollar sale I would be just above breakeven. Sales were usually around a hundred bux and occasionally more.

Yes they sell mens thongs if that was a serious question.

Bumping this thread again, because this company is still there and still doing dropshipping, and that since 2001!!!
I would like to hear some experiences with this company, who is using them e.g. for ebay dropshipping? can you make a profit after fees?
