Limits of the Facebook SDK with PHP (Commenting, scraping, etc).

Hey all - I'm new to the forum here...but I'm a very experienced IMer and black hatter.

Anyways, I'm wondering who has experience with PHP and Facebook. I want to make a bot that will watch certain pages and scrape their posts when they add a new one. I also want to program it to comment, like, and share posts.

To be clear, these "pages" are not owned by me. They are simply Facebook pages that have tons of public posts (think Vines pages).

I want to know if anyone has tried this before. If so, did you use the Facebook SDK or did you have to manually use cURL and PHP to hack through it.

My understanding is that the Facebook SDK lets you do tons of stuff with your own pages, but doesn't help you at all with things like scraping posts from another page.

Any insight here would be great.

I've used Facebook SDK for a project back in 2013. I remember I was able to scrape posts from users that granted my app a rights to use their data. I could also scrape their friends data, but only if they had most of the privacy options turned off. I'm not sure how all of this works with fb pages. You should probably go through SDK documentation. Good luck.
