My PayPal got limited and I was asked for photo id and a proof of address, the latter which I can provide but not a photo of my ID as I am underage. I was thinking of giving my ID a slight edit in photoshop but im not so sure that would be a good idea so I wanted to ask about it here. What is the worst case scenario if they find out I am underage? close my account? I have about 60 bucks in it, which i treasure because I dont usually make money online.
I thought about hiring a freelancer but that will probably require a payment upfront, which I cant do right now.
Did not know which forum to post this in so I put it here, sorry if i made a mistake. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, if they find out you're underage, they will keep your account closed/limited.
In most suspension cases you would be able to withdraw your money in about 6 months.

I could probably wait that long but what worries me is the use of the word "most". Thanks a lot for your reply.
 
You have two options: Hire the guy in this BHW who makes fakeids with a changed age or forget about the account.
 
And the third option is to call them and be honest with them that you didn't read the rules carefully blablablah, these $60 mean a lot to you and if it's possible to withdraw them and forget about this account until you reach 18 and create a new one.
 
I would call, be honest, and tell your situation. Worth a shot.

Wouldnt this be dependent on the sympathy of whoever I speak to?

They dont care about your feelings. This is a business and if they feel you are trying to use them for fraud or hide money , they will ask you to verify yourself. This is mostly for people who send you money. It's a law enacted after 9/11. With paypl once you pass 200 sales within a year, they need to report you to the IRS and will issue you an 1099-k . If you are not even American and in a country that doesn't allow paypal , they will shut you down and you will lose any money you have in there.

I never said they do and you just had to bring all that up from nowhere. I am just trying to unlimit my account.
 
Don't call PP telling them your underage honest intentions. They're not a lifeline.
Either pay 30 bucks for fake ID if wanna keep the account or stay limited.
 
wait to become 18 year old and then provide your ID.
hardly they notice that you was underage while you opened account.
 
I think its better pay some bucks to someone who will fake ids lol
 
I am sure you can get fake Photo ID paying some bucks & it works all the time with PayPal. Don't worry!
 
Is it possible buy something for the money on the account? If Yes ask friends what they need and buy that a change for cash... legal...
 
I made my previous Paypal account when i was 17. When i reached 19 i wanted to lift the limitations so i decided to verify the account with my bank and ID.
They later closed my account because i was underaged when the account was created.
I then gave them a call explaining the situation and they allowed me to create a new account and transfer all the funds.

Worth a shot... Just give them a call, don't use the support system... these guys aren't the smartest.
