limit increased but payment threshold did not increase

Yes, manual payment can still increase the spending threshold, but the rate of increase is very low. If possible, leave the master number in the payment card and let automatic payment, so the spending threshold will increase faster.
I thought so too - thanks for the input

That’s usually a system-controlled process. Sometimes the spend limit increases without the payment threshold changing, and it may require consistent spend/payment cycles before it updates automatically. There’s no manual way to force it.

The reason why your account only increases the spending limit but not the payment threshold is because FB does not trust your payment history. To fix this, you need to improve your payment history by paying on time to FB.

This usually happens when Meta doesn’t trust the payment pattern enough to raise your billing threshold automatically. Even if your limit increases, you may still need to pay manually until the account builds more history. Make sure your payment method is stable, avoid frequent card changes, and keep a consistent spend without failed charges. Over time (weeks to months), thresholds often increase gradually, but there’s no manual request option — it’s triggered by Meta’s system.

That’s because the account is on manual payment, in that mode, FB won’t raise your billing threshold regardless of spend. To increase it, you’d need to switch to auto-billing if the option is available. Once on auto-billing, keeping a consistent spend and paying invoices on time over multiple cycles can trigger gradual threshold increases

Sometimes it takes consistent spending over time, on-time payments, and no sudden budget spikes for the threshold to adjust. You can also try contacting Meta support to check if there’s a manual review option.
