Lime Proxies - DO NOT USE

Just a warning to anyone considering using Lime Proxies. Although the proxies are very good and fast, their service is the worst I have ever experienced and customer service is non existent.

March 24 - They sent an email advising subscribers that due to network upgrades some blocks would be replaced. If your block was in the ranges they provided, they asked us to contact them to have to it changed. Contacted them immediately and they deleted all proxies from my account. Contact them again and am told I would not be getting new proxies and mine were dead. Contact them again - this time they apologize and state I will be getting the old blocks back again

March 26- Still no live proxies so I contact them again. They respond that it takes time to change a subnet.

March 27 - Still no live proxies for 3 days for a supposed network upgrade effecting specific blocks but then being told the same blocks would be reinstated. Something is clearly not right so Paypal claim filed prior to 45 day deadline. No response from Lime other than a suspended account.

Not a good way to do business

That's ridiculous. I've been reading so many threads lately about people having a horrible time with private proxy providers.

Look at the proxies section at BHW and find one that looks good for what you need. You'll be able to have more direct contact, and those that supply proxies here are legitimate in customer service (or they get put on notice).

I seriously hope you get your money back.

Hello,

The customer had ordered for Dedicated subnet proxies.

Dedicated subnet proxies are not like ordinary proxies. These are exclusive subnets which are used by one customer only. And as such they cannot be replaced instantly.

We had notified all customers regarding some subnet change and had communicated to them notifying it.

We have also replaced subnets for those affected instantly.

However, this specific customer had dedicated subnet, so only way to replace it is via another dedicated subnet. Any proxy provider will know, a real class c dedicated subnet will take between 3 to 5 days to be provisioned. We offered him to do it within 24 to 48 hours. However customer filed a dispute even before that.

His subscription expires in a week. He had used the proxies with no issues for 3 weeks so far. I can post the log files if required.

All our proxy signup and systems are automated and replacements are done instantly except for dedicated subnets.

Yes you yourself acknowledge the product is good. You need to allow the time for us to replace the exclusive subnet.

A real dedicated subnet needs to be acquired from our upstream provider. If you need quality proxies, you need to wait for replacements.

If this for a ordinary private proxy, we can replace immediately from our stock of over 25,000 private proxies.

Lime has responded and reactivated my account and added 1 of the 2 subnets back. The other was not going to work for me for until re-subscription time when it can be changed. The dispute has been lifted since they restored a working subnet.

Hopefully we can get everything back on track. They really are fast proxies.

I tried to sign up to their affiliate program. they sent me an email with my username and password but their site said invalid udername/password

I emailed them, a guy rang me up, I told him the problem and he said he would look into it. I sent them more emails and I still can't log in.

how hard can it be to create a working username and password?

this is after 2 days, and all I'm trying to do (was trying to do, I have now given up) is create an affiliate account on their website.

I had a terrible experience with limeproxies months ago. I was having decent results from them so I decided to prepay for 3 months. I was using them for private proxies for twitter and I discovered privateproxies so I decided to try out 100 private proxies from them. I was delivered the product pretty quickly, but discovered that at least 50% of the proxies on this list were my private proxies from lime proxies. I emailed privateproxies and they issued me a refund, but Lime would not refund me as I still had 2 months to go and for the following 2 months, I had many outages and also had ban issues that I am sure were due to my 'private proxies'. My time expired and I never really did anything about it until I saw this thread. stay away...

Here is the response they gave me...

We are not sure how this happened. We released privateproxies just 2 weeks back. Both use the same backend. We will cross check our auto setup feature.

We have reassigned you the proxies on privateproxies

I will process the refund for you today.

We will leave the proxies for next 24 hours for you to test.

I use limeproxies and until march everything was ok.

The problem described here is real but somthing worst occours with me.

Qhen the subnets are changed for a reason i dont know my my servers stop to access twitter using their proxies but the worst thing was my real server IP as exposed and i lost 5 server from my datacenter as an spammed becasue twitter identify my server.

I never broke any twitter rate limits and for exactly for this reqason we use private proxies.

I wrote an email to them and obviously they said that their proxies are really private and not transparent.

I leave here my question...is limeproxies good enough?
